The John Howard Cemetery resides on the East Campus of the hospital grounds and includes Civil War veterans as well as veterans from World Wars I and II, the Spanish American War, a lone veteran of the War of 1812, and the grave of a Negro Scout from the Seminole War.

We do not yet know the origin of this cemetery's name nor many of the stories of the soldiers buried there. We will post them as our research allows and you will find their profile links to the right. We wish to thank those responsible for granting us access to this cemetery and supporting our enthusiasm for the history of St. Elizabeths military cemeteries.

We gladly welcome any research you may wish to contribute to this site.
