GENERAL AFFIDAVIT FOR ANY PURPOSE

State of Pennsylvania County of Fayette S.S.

In the matter of Christena Miller for a pension under the laws of the United States

Allen Jacobs personally comes the affiant who being first sworn, on oath says: Christena Miller was the mother of Issac Miller of Co. K, 212 PA Vols. that he was a single man (not married) and enlisted in the service of the United States in August 1864 that he was killed on the day of the election of President of the United States in the year 1864 at Springfield Station, Va. - by the locomotive running over him and was at that time in the discharge of his duty at the time of his death, was taken to Alexandria, Virginia and there buried and that he was not intoxicated or under the influence of liquor when killed and gave all he received from the U. States Government to the support of his mother Christena Miller.
And affiant further swears that he is not interested in the prosecution of the claim, and his Post Office address is Uniontown, Co. of Fayette, State of Pennslyvania
